With heartfelt gratitude, I reflect on what an extraordinary privilege it has been to practice law in the great state of Mississippi for the past 25 years—and to serve as managing attorney of HLO for the past 20.

When I first began this journey, my greatest hope was to help people and businesses navigate life’s challenges. Every client who placed their trust in us made that hope a reality—and gave life to the dreams of a wide-eyed, first-generation college graduate and lawyer.

In the years since, the needs of our community have only grown deeper and more complex. One of the greatest blessings of this work has been the way the practice has grown with it—changing and evolving in ways I could never have imagined.

Now, after 25 years of incredible opportunity and responsibility, we have reached a point of necessary transition. In order to continue serving our existing clients with the dedication and care they deserve, HLO will begin limiting the acceptance of new matters.
